About Highpoint Athletics

MISSION

At Highpoint, we believe every young athlete deserves the chance to reach their highest potential - not just as players, but as people. We develop the character, resilience, and life skills that prepare athletes for success in all areas of life, both on and off the field.

PHILOSOPHY

Too many youth sports programs focus on finding the elite few, causing 70% of kids to quit organized sports by age 13. We take the opposite approach — we keep kids engaged in sports by prioritizing character development and building up every athlete to discover their individual potential.

THE HIGHPOINT DIFFERENCE

We are called Highpoint because we help athletes reach higher — but "higher" is defined by each athlete individually, measured by character, leadership, and the discipline to pursue any goal with determination. At Highpoint, every athlete matters, every contribution counts, and every young person has the potential to reach heights they never imagined — both in sport and in life.

Our guiding principles

At Highpoint Athletics, we believe every young athlete deserves the opportunity to discover their potential both on and off the court.

Our approach is guided by our REPS philosophy, a framework that shapes not only how we run our business and how we coach, but how we help young folks develop into confident, skilled athletes and individuals of character.

REPETITION

We believe mastery comes through consistent, purposeful practice that builds muscle memory and confidence. Our sessions use varied repetition with progressively challenging exercises that keep athletes engaged while reinforcing proper technique.

EQUITY

Every athlete starts from a different place and learns at their own pace. Our coaches use multiple teaching methods — verbal, visual, and hands-on — to ensure every athlete can succeed regardless of their learning style.

POSITIVITY

We create a supportive environment where effort is celebrated and mistakes are learning opportunities. Our coaching emphasizes progress over perfection to build confidence and resilience.

SIMPLICITY

We keep things clear and uncomplicated with straightforward goals and direct feedback. Complex skills are broken down into manageable steps that build upon each other.
